Mr J Iveson – Chair of Governors
I have been a Governor at Three Lane Academy for about 15 Years and Chair of Governors for about 7 Years. I am on the following committees:- Standards, Finance & Personnel and Health & Safety. I live in Castleford and I am married with 2 sons who both attended Three Lane Ends.
As a Governor I have attended a number of courses and this has given me the knowledge and understanding to fulfil my role. I believe all children deserve a high standard of education and through my role I aim to ensure that all the children achieve their full potential and develop into confident well rounded individuals.
Mrs J Speight – Co-opted Governor
Jacquie Speight is an HR processional, specialising in staff development. She has over 30 years experience of working in local government across a range of services and in 2014 became an Elected Member for Wakefield Council (she is currently Deputy Portfolio Holder for Culture, Sport and Leisure). She has been a governor for approximately 17 years, originally being nominated by the LEA and has also helped in school on a voluntary basis. Jacquie has a BA (Hons) in Business Management, an MA in Personnel Management and is Member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel & Development.
Miss K Greatorex – Headteacher
Mrs L Ellis-Charlesworth – Associated Governor
Mr Shaun Asprey – Parent Governor
Mrs C Easton – Parent Governor
I became a Parent Governor in 2009 whilst my two children attended Three Lane Ends Academy. I wanted to be a Governor to have an understanding of school life and to support the Headteacher and staff in providing the best possible education for our children. I also wanted to bring a parents point of view to the table during Governor meetings. I am the Child Protection Governor and the Citizenship and PHSE curriculum Governor. I also work in the school office and have done so for almost 10 years. I feel I am approachable and I am always willing to listen and act upon parents views on their behalf. The most enjoyable part about being a Governor is without a doubt meeting the children and parents and observing everyday school activities. When I am not at work or being a Governor I love spending time with my children and I am also a chaperone for a local theatre/dance studio.
