Every Thursday, our Choir (Y3-6) practice in the main school hall from 3.15pm -4.00pm. Our Choir practice a wide variety of songs, and sing in school assemblies, church services and school concerts. If you enjoy singing and would like to join, please let Mrs Dale or Miss Hale know. There is no charge for this activity.
I am pleased to announce that Three Lane Ends Academy Choir will be attending next year's Young Voices event at Sheffield Arena on the 15 January 2018.This is a fantastic event in which the children will be able to experience singing alongside thousands of other children from all over the Yorkshire region. They will also be performing with a live band and special guest musicians. Unfortunately, we only have allocation for 30 children so this event will only be open to those children who regularly attend choir on Thursdays after school and it will be on a first come first served basis. There is a wealth of songs to learn in such a short space of time so I would need to ask for complete dedication. We will also be taking the children to the event by coach and we are looking into the best value transport but we are estimating it will be between £5 and £10. This really is an exciting opportunity which I am sure the children will remember for a very long time.

Cooking Club (Rec – Y2; Y3-Y6)
Our Reception and KS1 Cooking Club takes place on a Monday, and our KS2 Cooking Club takes place on a Thursday. The children make such delights as cheesecake, buns, fruit kebabs and pizzas.
Football for Y4, Y5, Y6
There are 20 places for both boys and girls in our afterschool football club. Here, the children get a chance to either test out their skills for the first time, or develop those they already have. As a team sport, football offers the children to not only improve individually but as a team member. They also have the opportunity to represent the school at tournaments.
Our Gymnastics Club practices on Monday in the main school hall from 3.05-4.05pm. Angela Marsh takes our gymnasts through their paces from little beginners to more budding Max Whitlocks! As we use an external provider, there is a charge for this club.
The 10 place Mathletics club runs on Wednesdays and takes place in the ICT Suite. The club is open to Years 3 to 6 and gives children the opportunity to improve their maths skills on their own computer. The children have the opportunity to work on things they think they feel they need practice on or have found difficult during their maths lessons with Miss Swain on hand for help if needed. There's even chance to challenge each other each week in live head to head battles to really test your mental maths!
Sewing Club for KS2
Our sewing club runs on a Monday in the Library. Here the children learn basic skills and enjoy making finger puppets and calendars.
